Our Story

Chef Liem Huu Le

Nam Vietnamese Kitchen was born from memories of Saigon… of days filled with the aroma of simmering broth, of bustling street markets overflowing with herbs and spices, of family gathered around a table where stories were shared as generously as the food. Raised in Vietnam before immigrating to Southern California, our founder carries with him not just recipes, but generations of tradition shaped by patience, care, and deep respect for the craft of cooking.

Culture of Balance

Vietnamese cuisine is built on balance: sweet and savory, fresh and slow-simmered, bright herbs alongside rich broths that have been tended for hours. Many of our dishes begin the same way they would in a Vietnamese home: bones roasted and simmered slowly for pho, spices toasted to release their fragrance, fresh vegetables prepared daily. While we honor the authenticity of these time-tested methods, we also celebrate the vibrant flavors found throughout Southeast Asia, thoughtfully weaving in subtle influences that complement, but never replace our roots.

More Than Food

NAM is more than food. In Vietnamese culture, meals are sacred. The table is where families reconnect, where elders pass down wisdom, where laughter softens long days. We built NAM to feel like that table. When you walk in, we want you to feel the warmth of home… welcomed, cared for, and unhurried. Whether it is your first visit or your fiftieth, you are part of our extended family.

Every dish we serve carries our history, our pride, and our gratitude. At NAM Vietnamese Kitchen, we are honored to share our culture, our comfort, and our community.  One bowl, one plate, one meal at a time.
